20 April 2026 by midnight    Registration deadline
21 April 2026 by 5pm           New postal vote application deadline
21 April 2026 by 5pm           Amendments/cancellations to existing postal/proxy arrangements  
28 April 2026 by 5pm           New proxy vote application deadline.

More information regarding voting by post or proxy can be found at the Electoral Commission website  Apply to vote by post | Electoral Commission or you can print an application from our downloads page. The online postal voting digital service at Gov.uk is not available for Scottish elections.

Please note that Voter ID is not required at a Scottish Parliamentary election.
